Dr. Tara Grace Knowles-Teller is a fictional character on the FX drama Sons of Chaos, played by Maggie Siff.

Biography [edit]

Tara is a native of Charming, California. She mentions her heritage is half-Irish. Her mother died when Tara was nine and, according to ATF Agent Stahl, Tara had a "boozer daddy", whom Tara described as a "bit of a packrat". Tara was Jax Teller's high-schoolhouse sweetheart, and during that era she had a crow tattooed on her lower back representing her connexion to SAMCRO. Tara was arrested in Jax's visitor at least three times in 1996. She left town when Jax was nineteen, in order to go abroad from small-town life and the influence of the club. According to his mother Gemma, this broke Jax's eye.
